Miranda Burton LISTD

Dance Teacher | ISTD DDE Tutor

Expertise, experience and a passion for developing dancers and teachers.

Miranda began dancing at the age of three and has dedicated her career to dance education. Following her own training at Bristol College of Dancing, she gained full ISTD teaching qualifications across all genres before achieving Licentiate status in Ballet, Tap and Modern.

With a wealth of experience in advanced dance training, Miranda specialises in developing dancers beyond the foundations, helping students refine their technique, musicality, artistry and performance quality as they progress towards higher levels.

Miranda is also Principal of Bristol College of Dancing and an approved ISTD DDE Tutor, delivering all units of the Diploma in Dance Education. Her role in training the next generation of dance teachers reflects the depth of her knowledge and her commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching.

At DA, Miranda brings this expertise into the studio, working with our more advanced dancers and supporting their continued development. Her teaching combines exceptional technical knowledge with a warm, encouraging approach, challenging dancers to work hard while helping them understand and enjoy the process of becoming better dancers.

For Miranda, great teaching is about more than perfecting technique. It is about developing dancers who are knowledgeable, confident and equipped to take their training wherever they want it to go.
