Welcome to Dancing Academy — an exciting place where people of all ages can discover the joy of dance and performing arts. We’re a school for families and our wider community, brought together by a shared love of movement, creativity and performance.
Founded by Principal Samantha Reed in 2008, Dancing Academy has grown from a small dance school into one of Chippenham’s largest and most established dance schools. Samantha’s own dance journey began at just three years old, taking her through extensive training and on to London Studio Centre, before continuing her teaching education with the Royal Academy of Dance and ISTD.
Today, dancers of all ages train across our purpose-built studios with an experienced and highly qualified teaching team, offering a wide range of dance and performing arts styles including ballet, tap, modern, jazz, commercial, contemporary, street, acrobatics, singing and drama.

We teach dancers of all ages and abilities, with classes designed to build strong foundations, confidence and a genuine love of movement. Some dancers come to perform and compete, some dream of a career in the performing arts, and others simply want to be active, make friends and enjoy something they love.

Established in 2008, we are one of Chippenham’s longest-established dance schools, built on years of experience, expertise and a genuine commitment to dance education. Our teaching team brings together professional experience and recognised teaching qualifications across a range of disciplines, ensuring our dancers are taught with knowledge, care and high standards from their very first class through to advanced training.
But great teaching is about more than technique. We teach the dancer, not just the steps.
